About Doug Dome

Doug Dome, Founder and CEO of Dome Consulting

Founder & CEO

Doug Dome is an independent board member, operator and strategic advisor who has built, bought, integrated, scaled and sold marketing services businesses.

Through Dome Consulting, he advises private equity firms, boards, CEOs and marketing services leaders on Enterprise Intelligence and the decisions that surround ownership: due diligence, post-close value creation, governance, commercial performance, recapitalization and exit readiness.

Dome Consulting combines operating experience with an investor and board perspective. Doug's work focuses on situations where growth, ownership, intelligence capability and enterprise value intersect, especially in marketing services businesses.

The perspective is practical: what does the company actually own, where does critical knowledge live, how dependent is performance on individuals or outside platforms, what should management build next, and what will a future buyer be able to verify?

Doug has operated inside private equity ownership, worked directly with boards, integrated acquisitions and advised leaders through periods when growth, governance, capital, leadership and exit considerations collide.

That experience informs Dome Consulting's approach to diligence and value creation: evaluate the operating reality beneath management claims, translate findings into priorities, and keep the work tied to the investment thesis and the evidence a future buyer will require.

Worked Through the Decisions That Change Enterprise Value

OWNERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE

From 2014 to 2017, Doug founded Core7 around the idea of a closed-loop marketing intelligence system designed to connect data, insight, strategy, execution and learning.

The platform did not become the scaled commercial system originally envisioned, but the underlying questions remain central to Dome Consulting's current work: how companies retain learning, reduce dependence on individuals and vendors, and convert intelligence into capability the enterprise can own and govern.
